THROWDOWN To Headline WARPED TOUR's Ernie Ball Stage

April 4, 2007

Orange County, CA-based band THROWDOWN will headline the Ernie Ball stage all summer long on this year's Vans Warped Tour.

"We did about five dates on the Ernie Ball stage last year and we were really happy with how amazing they were," said singer Dave Peters. "A lot of our fans turned out last year and even more people stopped at our stage when they were walking by, with their churro or whatever, much like you would on the freeway if you saw a truck full of reality TV stars on fire. . . This year's Warped bill is the best I've ever seen and we couldn't be happier to be a part of it."

This year, the band is back on Ernie Ball for the entire run.

THROWDOWN is currently recording its new album, "Venom & Tears", in Los Angeles with producer Mudrock (AVENGED SEVENFOLD, GODSMACK). Due later this year, the CD "will prove to be the most aggressive and thrilling metal album in a very long time, adding new depth to the sound that drove 2005's 'Vendetta' and 2003's 'Haymaker'," according to a press release.

THROWDOWN's last CD, "Vendetta", came out in June 2005 through Trustkill. The follow-up to the band's breakthrough album, "Haymaker", was produced by Zeuss (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL).
